She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital, Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons in New York City, New York. Dr. Maini completed further training with a fellowship in Hematology/Oncology at Lenox Hill Hospital, New York University, New York, New York.
Previous to coming to Broward Health, Dr. Maini served as Assistant Professor of Medicine in Hematology/Medical Oncology at the State University of New York – Downstate Medical Center, Brooklyn, New York. Involved in research, Dr. Maini is the medical director of research for Hematology/Oncology unit and its principal investigator of numerous trials and has been published in a variety of medical journals, such as the Journal of Investigative Medicine, Blood Journal, the American Journal of Geriatric Cardiology, Journal of American College of Cardiology, and American Journal of Therapeutics. Dr. Maini has taught medical students at Cornell University, Lenox Hill Hospital, St. George’s University School of Medicine, Grenada, Sophie Davis Medical School, City University of New York and New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, New York Institute of Technology. She currently serves as Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at Nova Southeast University and Florida International University.
Dr. Maini is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Society of Hematology, American Association of Hospice Palliative Medicine and Caducean Society of Fort Lauderdale. (Conversant in English, Spanish, Hindi, Punjabi and Urdu).
