Mehmet F Hepgur, MD, is a graduate of University of Istanbul, Istanbul School of Medicine. Dr. Hepgur trained in Internal Medicine at State University of New York at Buffalo and did his hematology and medical oncology fellowship at University of California Norris Cancer Center. During his fellowship he worked on cancer immunology research.
Mehmet Hepgur, MD, received the 2013 ASCO Conquer Cancer Foundation Merit award for his work in changes of circulating tumor cells and markers of inflammation after Sipuleucel-T treatment. He was also received best research presentation award presented by USC Faculty in 2014. Dr. Hepgur joined the medical staff at Desert Regional Medical Center Comprehensive Cancer Center.
In 2015 Dr. Hepgur moved to Florida and joined the staff Broward Health Medical Center. He is also a faculty member of Nova Southeastern University Medical School as an assistant professor. His clinical interests include all aspects of hematology and oncology, with particular interests in immunotherapy, genitourinary cancers, gastrointestinal tumors and coagulation disorders. Dr. Hepgur also runs a clinical research program and acting as primary and sub-investigator.
