Dr. Ossama Maher is co-director of the blood and marrow transplant program at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. Dr. Maher received his medical degree from Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University. He completed his residency at the Brooklyn Hospital Center, New York and his fellowship in Hematology-Oncology at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. Dr. Maher also completed a combined pediatric Neuro oncology/ stem cell transplant fellowship at Dana- Faber Cancer Institute, Harvard University.y.Dr. Maher is a member of the American Society Hematology, American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Society of Pediatric Hematology Oncology and the Society of Neuro-Oncology. Dr. Maher is board certified in General Pediatrics and Pediatric Hematology and Oncology. Dr. Maher participates in conducting research studies and stem cell transplantation for children with brain tumors.
